SA House
This summer house, situated on sloping land in Edremit, Balıkesir, is designed to provide private living spaces for three families alongside communal areas. The project emphasizes aesthetic and environmental sensitivity, harmonizing with the natural features and climatic conditions of the region. The site analysis meticulously considered the sloping terrain and the significance of the views. Strategically positioned, the house maximizes vistas and optimizes sunlight utilization, facilitating efficient design for both private family spaces and communal areas.
Each family’s private living quarters are thoughtfully planned to ensure individual privacy and comfort. The spacious, well-lit interiors adhere to modern comfort standards and cater to user needs. Private outdoor spaces such as personal terraces complement these living areas. Communal zones are designed to foster social interaction, featuring shared dining areas, living rooms, and outdoor activity spaces. These areas serve as venues for families to bond, engage, and strengthen social ties.
Furthermore, the project embraces an approach that integrates environmental sustainability with aesthetic values, utilizing local architectural elements. Natural materials and indigenous construction techniques blend the building harmoniously with its surroundings, reflecting the region’s identity.
